Joanne Bryson
Biography
Joanne joined the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) in September 2022 and is a Delivery Director covering Ministry of Justice, Department for Transport, Department for Health & Social Care and the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government. She is also the head of internal audit for the Department of Work & Pensions.
Before joining the GIAA, Joanne held various internal audit and quality roles in the NHS, local government, and higher education. This included the role of Director of Audit within AuditOne, an NHS internal audit consortium where she was responsible for providing audit and assurance services to a range of large NHS Foundation Trusts and Ambulance services.
Joanne is a qualified CIPFA accountant and holds the CMIA professional qualification.
