Jo Lomas

Biography

Jo Lomas was appointed British High Commissioner to Rwanda and non resident Ambassador to Burundi in November 2017. Prior to this she served as the British High Commissioner to Namibia from September 2015 to November 2017.

Jo Lomas joined FCO in 1993 as a desk officer in the United Nations Department, later leading International Communications and heading the Global Response Centre.

She has had previous postings in Geneva and Damascus and has a degree in Political Science from the University of Bristol.
