Jim McAlpine

Biography

Jim McAlpine was Head of DFID Ghana from December 2014 to July 2017 leading a team of 32 staff.

Since joining DFID in 1982, Jim has worked in various capacities, in headquarters and in the Pacific, South East Asia, Southern Africa, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, providing leadership and delivering effectively UK’s development programmes. He also had responsibility for ensuring effective corporate services; corporate compliance; leading change and workforce planning.
