Biography
Jessica Lennard took up the role of Chief Strategy & External Affairs Officer at the CMA in August 2023.
Jessica is a member of the Senior Executive Team, an advisor to the Board, and has overall responsibility for strategy, advocacy, communications and external engagement at the CMA.
Previous roles include:
- Senior Director for Global Data and AI Initiatives at VISA (January 2023)
- Advisory Board Member for the UK Government Centra for Data Ethics and Innovation (until July 2023)
- Board Member of Tech UK (until January 2023)
- Ambassador Microsoft National AI Council (November 2021)
Jessica has also held corporate roles at TalkTalk, Ovo Energy and Edelman.
Chief Strategy & External Affairs Officer
The Chief Strategy & External Affairs Officer is responsible for:
- providing strong, visible leadership across the organisation
- working with the Board to develop the CMA’s strategy
- providing advice to government under the CMA’s advocacy function
- leading the CMA’s external communications and relations
