Jason Bonander

Biography

Jason Bonander is the Chief Digital and Technology Officer (CDTO) of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). 

Jason joined the MHRA in May 2026 from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where he served as Chief Information Officer. His career has included senior leadership roles across digital services, cybersecurity and population health informatics

Jason is a medical anthropologist by background, with a long-standing interest in the role of health data and technology in improving public health outcomes.
