Helen Gillett
Biography
Helen has more than 25 years experience in the IT/Telecoms and Utilities sectors, with in-depth expertise in client and customer service.
Helen is currently interim Chair of the Government Property Agency board after being a Non-Executive Director since 2023, she is also a Non-executive Director for Orbit Group, one of the largest housing groups in the country and the UK’s leading developer of new homes for affordable and social rent.
An award-winning leader, throughout her career Helen has been actively involved in the development of high-performing, inclusive businesses where staff thrive. She volunteers as a mentor for a number of social mobility and inclusion programmes.
Interim Independent Complaints Reviewer
The Independent Complaints Reviewer Office provides an independent complaints review service for HM Land Registry (HMLR). The role of the Independent Complaints Reviewer (ICR) is to investigate complaints about HMLR made by members of the public or organisations affected by how HMLR has provided its services (but not land registration decisions). The ICR office was established in 1998 as an integral part of HMLR’s commitment to customer service.
Chair, Government Property Agency
The Government Property Agency (GPA) delivers property and workplace solutions across government by managing central government property as a strategic asset. It is an executive agency, sponsored by the Cabinet Office.
The role of Chair oversees the work of the Agency by heading up the Board who set strategic direction and by providing expert property advice.
