Harjit Sandhu
Biography
Harjit Sandhu is a finance, governance, and risk professional with experience across the education, social housing, scientific research, and care and support sectors. He has previously served on the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Management Board and chaired its Audit and Risk Committee, and was also a member of the Department for Education’s Audit and Risk Committee, contributing to assurance, risk, and financial oversight.
His earlier career includes senior roles such as Head of Compliance, Audit and Assurance, Group Chief Accountant, and Finance Director in organisations operating within the education, research, and social housing sectors. He also served as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at Soha Housing, where he was a long-standing board member.
His non-executive experience includes roles within the Department for Education, ESFA, and Soha Housing, providing exposure to public-sector governance, risk management, and organisational assurance.
