Graham Rivers-Brown

Biography

Graham became interim Director of Digital Data and Technology in July 2025. He was previously at Microsoft where he was a Strategic Account Technology Strategist.

Prior to this, he was the Deputy Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect at the UK Intellectual Property Office, where he led AI and transformation programmes.

Graham has more than 10 years’ experience working in IT across multiple industries including finance, insurance, utilities, and government.

Director of Digital, Data and Technology

The Director of Digital, Data and Technology heads the Digital, Data and Technology directorate.

The role includes:

  • developing and delivering the Commission’s digital and data strategy and roadmap
  • collaborating across the organisation to create and deliver a diverse portfolio of digital projects, especially those in the three-year ‘Commission Futures’ transformation programme
  • managing strategic commercial partnerships and delivery arrangements
  • ensuring the Commission has the technical, security and data skills that it needs
