Gary Davies
Biography
Gary Davies was appointed Deputy Head of Mission and Her Majesty’s Consul to the Republic of Moldova in March 2019. Previously he was Deputy Head of Mission to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
Gary was Head of Appointments and Recruitment in the Corporate Services Centre at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) from 2014 – 2017 and has served overseas in entry clearance and visa management work in Manila (2010 – 2014) and Mumbai (2007 – 2010). He has also served overseas in the political chancery in Hong Kong (2004 – 2007) and has had temporary assignments in Beijing, Seoul, Lagos, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
Gary joined the FCO in 2002 from the European Commission office in Belfast where he was office manager. He is a BA (Hons) graduate of Lancaster University (1996), and holds an MA in European Policy (1997) also from Lancaster University.
He is married with two children.
