Enda Ridge
Biography
Dr. Enda Ridge is a Senior Staff Data Scientist at Google, where he leads an international data science team within the Merchant Commerce division. He brings deep technical expertise, rigour, and experience driving digital and data transformation across both major corporate and global tech environments to his board roles.
Prior to joining Google, Enda served as Chief Data Scientist at Sainsbury’s. In this capacity, he founded and scaled the retailer’s inaugural data science and machine learning capabilities, while co-leading migration to cloud computing and agile methodologies. His foundational career includes senior data analytics consulting roles at Big Four firms KPMG and EY, where he advised clients on complex data strategies in regulated forensic environments.
Enda is a published book author on the operational efficiency methods for data science teams, alongside peer-reviewed research papers in computer science. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of York, UK, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Galway, Ireland.
