Biography

Emma Davis was appointed Deputy High Commissioner to Solomon Islands in September 2022. Prior to this, she was Deputy Head of Mission in Conakry from 2019 to 2022 and Deputy Head of Mission in Bamako from 2017 to 2019.

She has had previous postings including as Deputy Head of Mission in Reykjavik.

Deputy High Commissioner to Solomon Islands

The Deputy High Commissioner is a senior diplomat and typically a key advisor to the High Commissioner. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of an overseas High Commission. They will represent the UK’s interests in the absence of the High Commissioner as Chargé d’Affaires. A senior ranking Deputy may also take the title Minister.
