Elizabeth Carriere

Biography

Elizabeth Carriere has been the Governor of Montserrat since August 2015. Prior to this she was the Head of DFID in South Sudan for 3 years. As part of her role in DFID, she has also been on assignment in Indonesia, Jamaica, Bangladesh, the Caribbean regional office in Barbados, and Rwanda.

She holds an MSc in public policy and management from the University of London and has done graduate work at the University of British Columbia Canada in the sociology of adult education, and at the University of Manitoba in anthropology.
