Dominic Williams MBE

Biography

Dominic Williams is the current British Ambassador to Cambodia.

He joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in 2005 and has previously worked in the Embassy to France; the High Commission to Sri Lanka and the Maldives; the Embassy to Peru and the High Commission to Nigeria.

Dominic was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2011 in recognition of his work during the Sri Lankan conflict.  He has worked on UN Peacekeeping, the Syria conflict and consular issues while serving in London.

Dominic speaks English, French, Khmer and Spanish.

The Ambassador represents His Majesty The King and the UK government in the country to which they are appointed. They are responsible for the direction and work of the Embassy and its Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.
