David McIlroy

Biography

David McIlroy took up his appointment as Chargé d’Affaires of the British Embassy, Asmara in Eritrea in April 2024.

David was previously Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Guinea from 2019 to 2022. He was United Kingdom Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Vienna (2011 to 2015) and Deputy Head of Mission and Her Majesty’s Consul General in Belgrade (2004 to 2007).
