Cyrus Mehta

Biography
Cyrus was appointed Panel Inquiry Chair of the CMA on 1 October 2025 and has been a Non-executive Director of the Board since February 2024. He is also a member of the CMA’s specialist news and media, and payment systems panels, and of the Audit and Risk Assurance and Remuneration Committees.
Cyrus is a former Partner and Head of the EU and Competition team at international law firm CMS in London. He has over 35 years’ experience in the field of UK and EU competition law, state aid, consumer law, trade law and regulation in both London and Brussels.
