Clara Swinson was appointed Director General for Global and Public Health in November 2016. Her previous roles include:

Part of the Department of Health senior team and an executive member of its board, the Director General is responsible for leading the department’s public health teams, including:

  • population health
  • EU, international and prevention programmes
