Air Vice-Marshal Chris Mullen

Biography

Air Vice-Marshal Chris Mullen serves as Defence Attaché at the British Embassy Washington, where he leads the United Kingdom’s extensive military engagement and partnerships across all branches of the United States Armed Forces. He arrives in Washington from neighbouring Virginia, having most recently served as the Chief of Defence Staff’s Liaison Officer to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Commissioned into the Royal Air Force in 1993, Air Vice-Marshal Mullen trained as a helicopter pilot, and brings more than 30 years of multi-domain operational experience.

Previous roles have included active duty in Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Bosnia and Iraq, assignment to NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps as Chief Air Advisor, and Commandant of No. 1 Flying Training School and the Defence College of Air and Space Operations.
