HMA Catriona Laing CB


Ms Catriona Laing CB has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe with effect from September 2014. Ms Laing joined the FCO in January 2012 when she was posted to Afghanistan. She is an economist by background and has spent much of her career in Africa serving in Botswana, Kenya, Sudan and Somalia.

British Ambassador to Zimbabwe

The Ambassador represents Her Majesty The Queen and the UK government in the country to which they are appointed. They are responsible for the direction and work of the Embassy and its Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.
