Baroness Garden of Frognal
Biography
Baroness Garden was appointed as a Government Whip and Baroness in Waiting in November 2014. She is a Liberal Democrat member of the House of Lords.
Education
She was educated at Westonbirt School and St Hilda’s College, Oxford, where she read modern and medieval languages.
Political career
Baroness Garden was raised to the peerage in 2007 and served as a party Spokesperson for education between 2008 and 2010. She was also a Government Whip and Baroness in Waiting from October 2010 to October 2013.
Career outside politics
She taught in England and Germany between 1966 and 1984 and worked for City & Guilds between 1988 and 2008.
Personal life
Baroness Garden was married to the late Timothy Garden (later Air Marshal Lord Garden KCB) and has 2 daughters.
