Angus McKee

Biography

Angus McKee was appointed Her Majesty’s Consul General in Erbil in June 2014. He represents the UK Government in Kurdistan Region. He promotes political relations, trade and investment, and humanitarian support. He also oversees delivery of essential services to the British resident community and inward visitors. Prior to his current role, he has worked in British embassies in Damascus and Beirut. He was head of the UK Foreign Office Middle East and North Africa Research Group (Research Analysts) from 2008 to 2011. He joined the FCO in 2000. He speaks Arabic.
