Amy Carrillo

Biography
As Interim Chief Customer and People Officer, Amy Carrillo is responsible for developing a culture and work environment that helps staff to thrive at the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO).
Across the organisation, her teams play a key role in leadership development, smarter working, diversity and inclusion and engagement, both internally and across the local community. These teams are also responsible for the creation of the UKHO’s award-winning apprenticeship scheme, which has been instrumental in helping the organisation to harness new talent and support the development of staff.
Before joining the UKHO, Amy held Human Resources roles at Gap Inc’s European Head Office and D&D London. She also holds an MA in Human Resources Management from the University of Westminster’s Business School.
Interim Chief Customer and People Officer
The Interim Chief Customer and People Officer responsibilities include:
- leading the people strategy
- delivering the UKHO’s recruitment strategy and talent management
- leading initiatives to define the UKHO’s organisational culture
- leading the customer-focused commercial strategy and Admiralty sales revenue
- acting as the lead ‘Customer Champion’, ensuring customers remain at the centre of all activities
- contributing to overall strategic management
