Alison Crofton

Biography
Alison joined Homes England in 2020 and now leads the Regional Delivery Directorate, driving our mission to get high‑quality homes built in the places that need them most. Her team focus on locally led delivery powered with national solutions, unlocking both public and private land where the market can’t, removing barriers, securing planning permission, and preparing sites so they’re ready for development.
She is a Member of the Institute of Building and a Chartered Environmentalist with the Society for the Environment, bringing more than 20 years’ experience delivering major housing and mixed‑use schemes while working for some of the UK’s largest housebuilders.
Alongside her role as Chief Regional Delivery Officer, Alison sits on the Boards of the Future Homes Hub, and serves as an observing member of the New Homes Quality Board.
Chief Regional Delivery Officer
The Chief Regional Delivery Officer leads the Regional Delivery Directorate, ensuring the effective delivery of housing, regeneration and place‑making activity across five regions and a national Technical, Capacity and Co‑ordination Hub.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the postholder provides strategic leadership to support the government’s ambition to build 1.5 million homes and drive local growth.
