How can the Office for Local Government help me?

The Office for Local Government (Oflog) will help make local government even better. We will increase understanding about the performance of local authorities, warn when authorities are at risk of serious failure, and support local government to improve itself.

If you wish to contact your local council and are unaware of who you should contact, you can use: https://www.gov.uk/find-local-council.

If you wish to raise any issues or complaints about your local council, you should contact them directly. If you do not receive a satisfactory response, you can then check whether the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) (https://www.lgo.org.uk/) can investigate. This service is free, independent and impartial.
