Statistics at Natural England
We publish statistics on how people engage with the natural environment and the condition of sites of special scientific interest.
We publish the following official statistic:
- The People and Nature Survey which builds on the Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment (MENE) survey
We publish the following statistical database:
Standards
We follow the UK Statistics Authority’s code of practice for statistics.
The Office of Statistical Regulation (OSR) carried out a rapid review of the People and Nature survey, resulting in an endorsement by the OSR.
Natural England follows Defra group practice for:
- revisions or corrections to statistics and data
- pre-release access to official statistics
