Our governance

An introduction to the executive board.

Executive board

At the heart of its corporate governance, the agency has a board chaired by the Chief Executive with the agency’s functional directors and Non Executive Board members serving on it. The executive board concerns itself with the overarching agency strategy and direction agreed with the department, ministers and wider government.

Day to day management of the agency lies with the Executive Team which meets formally every Wednesday. This meeting is also chaired by the Chief Executive but its membership is drawn exclusively from the agency’s functional directors. This regular and consistent rhythm builds a strong team ethic and brings a keen focus on business issues that drive productivity and deliver change.
