Competition Service

The Competition Service (CS) hears appeals on rulings by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and the regulators of the telecommunications, electricity, gas, water, railways and air traffic services. It also reviews decisions made by the Secretary of State, the CMA and its predecessor organisations (the OFT and the Competition Commission) on merger and market references.

CS is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department for Business and Trade.
