Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes (ACNFP) members are independent experts appointed for their knowledge and experience, including academics, practitioners, industry representatives and consumer representatives. Members provide independent advice on the safety assessment of novel foods, traditional novel foods, food and feed products of genetic technologies and novel food processes including food irradiation, supporting evidence based decision making and the protection of public health.
