Lin Hinnigan, Chief Executive of the Youth Justice Board, said:

“We recognise the significant effort Feltham A has put into tackling its considerable challenges; and it is encouraging to see that inspectors report progress since their last inspection, in Feltham meeting the needs of some highly complex young people in its care.

“However, the report also outlines that much more needs to be done to address the very serious concerns about the ongoing lack of safety and high levels of violence there. We will continue to provide sustained support and challenge to NOMS until tangible improvements are seen.”
