Visit of HMS Kent to Stavanger
HMS Kent, a Type 23 frigate, visited Stavanger from 7 to 11 February.

During the ship’s stay, Commanding Officer Cdr Andrew Block RN, was delighted to welcome on board the Mayor of Stavanger, Christine Sagen Helgø, and the Mayor of Sola, Ole Ueland.
The two mayors were given a tour of the ship including a brief from Flight Commander Lt Karen Barnicoat on the Merlin Mk1 helicopter.
HMS Kent will visit Bergen on 12 to 13 February before taking part in a Norwegian military exercise.
