Lord Jonathan Marland, the British Prime Minister’s Special Trade Envoy, arrived in Luanda today for a 2 day visit. The objective of his visit is to initiate the implementation phase of the High Level Partnership launched by Mr Simmonds, the UK’s Minister for Africa, in July by intensifying relations between Angola and the UK in the areas of investment and trade. In order to achieve this Lord Marland brings with him a delegation of 22 individuals, the biggest ever UK trade delegation to visit Angola. He will meet with a variety of Ministers, national and international businessmen, and other key interlocutors during his trip.
