Violent clashes in Northern Kenya

Minister for Africa, Mark Simmonds, said:

“I was shocked by the violent clashes in Samburu district in Northern Kenya which led to over 40 police officers being killed. Our thoughts are with their families and colleagues. It is essential that further efforts are made to address the underlying causes of the incident. It is important that the government, police and local communities work together to prevent a repeat of this tragedy.”
