UK nuclear new build supplier day
The UKTI Energy team in Paris organised a UK nuclear new build supplier day in partnership with EDF Energy and AREVA on 12 February.
The UKTI Paris team worked closely with EDF Energy and AREVA to organise a UK nuclear new build supplier day in the Ambassador’s Residence in Paris.
The main objective of this event was to help EDF Energy and AREVA to consolidate/stream line their supply chains in the UK. 210 delegates (110 companies) took part in the day that saw presentations from senior EDF Energy and AREVA staff as well as the NIA, NAMRC and the Somerset Chamber of Commerce.
The morning session of presentations was followed by a networking buffet lunch and afternoon of B2Bs between French and British companies and staff from EDF Energy and AREVA.
The main focus of the afternoon was to encourage dialogue and eventual partnerships between French and British companies. With Franco-British nuclear partnering events a key priority for UKTI expect more events of this kind in the foreseeable future.
