UK government invites Prime Minister of Cote d’Ivoire

His Excellency Mister Daniel Kablan Duncan has received an invitation from Lancaster House in the context of the Open Government Partnership.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, HEM Daniel Kablan Duncan has received an invitation to a welcome ministerial dinner by the Rt Hon Francis Maude MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General.

The Open Government Partnership Summit which will be held from Thursday 31 October to Friday 01 November 2013 as the UK is the co-chair of the OGP this year alongside Indonesia.

This summit will provide the next high-profile opportunity to deliver the Prime Minister’s ambition to hardwire the G8 3Ts agenda into the international system.

The Rt Hon Francis Maude MP is in charge of the Open Government Partnership as the new multilateral initiative that aims to secure concrete commitments from governments to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption, and harness new technologies to strengthen governance.

In West Africa, Ghana and Liberia are already participatory members, having signed up in 2011.
