The National Security Strategy
The National Security Strategy (NSS) is published today.

The new National Security Council, on which the International Development Secretary sits, has overseen the development of this National Security Strategy (NSS).
The NSS recognises the importance of tackling conflict and fragility overseas. The UK’s development programmes in conflict affected and fragile countries make an important contribution both to poverty reduction overseas and to our security at home.
Tomorrow the Prime Minister will launch the Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR) in the House of Commons. The SDSR will include further details on how the government intends to implement the analysis in the NSS.
