Smoother and safer journeys for the M25 in Kent

Overnight resurfacing starts this week on the clockwise M25 between junctions 4 (Orpington) and 5 (Sevenoaks) in Kent to provide smoother and safer journeys.

Sections of the carriageway will be resurfaced and the white lines and road studs renewed. The work will involve overnight closures of the clockwise carriageway. It is due to start on Wednesday 9 April and be completed, weather permitting, on the morning of Friday 2 May.

Highways Agency Asset Manager Tommy Whittingham said:

The new surface and cats eyes will provide smoother and safer journeys for the many drivers that rely on this busy route. We have planned to carry out the work overnight, when we know traffic flows are lowest, to minimise disruption.

The work will be carried out overnight between 10pm and 5.30am, Monday to Thursday, and between 11pm and 6am on Friday nights.

The clockwise M25 will be closed and a fully signed diversion in place via the A224 and A25.
