Sir David King is visiting India 15 - 17 March

UK climate change envoy, Sir David King, will visit India to further enhance UK-India bilateral cooperation on energy and climate change.

Following the successful Paris agreement on climate change, Sir David King is visiting India from 15 - 17 March, to strengthen UK-India collaboration on energy and climate. He will meet with Indian government officials and business leaders and will give speeches at the opening of the India Smart Grid Forum Week and the 9th FICCI India Climate Policy and Business Conclave.

Sir David King, the UK Special Representative on Climate Change, said:

I am delighted to be returning to India so soon after the signing of the historic climate change agreement in Paris.

I will be meeting with stakeholders to take forward the India-UK partnership on energy and climate. India and the UK are working to provide secure, affordable and sustainable energy for our citizens. Working together we can achieve this in a way that is good for our economies and good for the environment.

Sir David will also inaugurate the UK Trade and Investment stand at the India Smart Grid Forum Week where six British companies from the field of smart grids are showcasing their innovations. He will also meet British and Indian businesses to discuss commercial opportunities in clean energy and low carbon technology.
