On Saturday 3 December at Twickenham Stadium, some of the greatest rugby players from the northern and southern hemisphere will take part in the Heroes Rugby Challenge.

This one-off game aims to sell 70,000 tickets and raise over £1 million for Help for Heroes, the charity which provides practical support for wounded service men and women.

Show us your socks

To raise awareness of the game, today Sports Minister Hugh Robertson took part in the Show us your socks! Heroes Rugby Challenge, adding to list of leading sports figures and celebrities who’ve already taken part.

Robertson urged others to support the campaign, saying “I am very pleased to help support Help for Heroes and their Show us your socks! Heroes Rugby Challenge. Having served in the armed forces myself, I know how important it is to support all those servicemen and women who put their lives on the line every day.”
