Secretary of State for Justice visits Qatar

Secretary of State for Justice, Chris Grayling visited Doha on Thursday, 11 September 2014 and held several discussions on bilateral and legal issues with senior officials including HH the Emir of Qatar, HE the Prime Minister, HE the Minister of Justice, HE the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, HE the Attorney General, and the NHRC Chairman.

During the visit, Chris Grayling held meetings with senior members of international and Qatar’s legal community. His meetings focused on building strong ties between the English and Qatari legal and business communities.

Chris Grayling also attended a reception hosted by the Qatar International Court (QIC) for the Qatari legal and business community at the QIC’s courtroom and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centre. Grayling also met with QIC CEO Faisal Rashid Al Sahouti.
