Satellite receiver technologies: £1 million for feasibility studies

Opportunity for business to win support for innovations in receiver technologies that use the new Galileo global navigation satellite system.

GNSS receivers: using new satellite systems

Europe’s new Galileo global navigation satellite system (GNSS) has begun deployment. Innovate UK is offering up to £1 million to support feasibility studies into new receiver technologies that could use it.

Your business could win a share of this funding to develop technologies for applications suited to the Galileo system. The government has committed to help deliver growth in line with the UK Space Innovation and Growth Strategy (IGS).

The UK has invested more than £50 million in Galileo through the European Space Agency and the European Commission. Full operational capability is expected in 2018-2020.

It will lead to an increase in accuracy, performance, availability and robustness of space-based navigation systems.
