Resurfacing work planned for M5 Junctions 27 to 28

Overnight work will begin on Monday July 14 to resurface a three mile section of the M5 between junctions 27 and 28 leading to smoother journeys.

The improvement will be carried out between 7pm and 6am and will be completed by Friday, 5 September. No work is planned to be carried out at weekends.

Andrew Clark, Highways Agency Project Sponsor said:

Work has been planned to minimise disruption and that is why work will take place overnight, when traffic flows are lowest.

The work will require various lane and slip road closures at different stages of the works and clearly signed diversion routes will be in place during these times.

We advise road users to allow slightly more time to complete their journeys.

The work will be carried out on both carriageways.
