Resurfacing on the A20 Western Docks spur road in Dover

Resurfacing will start today (Monday 23 June) to improve journeys on the A20 between the Limekiln roundabout and Lord Warden Square.

Sections of the carriageway will be resurfaced to keep journeys safe and reliable on this vital link road. The work will involve overnight closures and is due to be completed, weather permitting, in the morning of Saturday 28 June.

Highways Agency Project Sponsor Anita Waterton said:

The existing surface is nearing the end of its life and will be resurfaced to provide drivers with smoother, quieter and safer journeys. We have planned the work with the help of the Port of Dover and will carry out the work overnight, when we know traffic flows are at their lowest, to minimise disruption.

The work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am, for five nights from Monday 23 June.

The A20 will be closed in both directions between the Limekiln roundabout and Lord Warden Square. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via the Prince of Wales roundabout.
