The latest edition of Developments magazine is now available online.

There has never been a plan to fight poverty like the Millennium Development
Goals. Never before has there been this kind of global support to “free all men, women, and children from the abject and dehumanising conditions of extreme poverty,” as the original Millennium Declaration puts it.

This final edition of Developments takes an in-depth look at these goals which were set ten years ago, and what needs to be done in the lead-up to the 2015 deadline for halving extreme poverty.

In the magazine, Secretary of State Andrew Mitchell, who will join Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg at the Summit, also provides an interview on his first few months in the job and his ambitions for international development.
