Rainsbrook secure training centre
As part of its ongoing management of youth custody services, which aims to ensure effective rehabilitation of young offenders and the best possible value for taxpayers, the Ministry of Justice will shortly be launching a planned re-tendering exercise for the contract to run Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre. G4S will continue to run Rainsbrook pending the outcome of that competition. The contract will be subject to robust supervision arrangements.
This competition will be consistent with our reform programme and put education at the heart of custody, equipping young offenders with the skills, qualifications and self-discipline they need to build a life free from crime.
