Prime Ministers of the UK, the five Nordic and three Baltic countries to meet in London

The meeting will take place on 19 and 20 January 2011 and will also be attended by policy innovators and business leaders.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The meeting will bring together Prime Ministers, policy innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders from the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to discuss the challenges facing modern northern European economies, including how best to foster equality, wellbeing and competitiveness in the current economic climate.

Prime Minister David Cameron said:

“This meeting will bring together people and ideas from nine countries that face common challenges. We are coming together in London to listen and to learn and to capture ideas, the kind of ideas that can make our societies better places for our citizens to live in.”
