The Prime Minister's Official Spokesperson answered questions about devolution and the East Coast Mainline franchise.

Devolution – English votes for English laws

When asked about devolution and English votes for English laws, the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesperson (PMOS) said the Prime Minister has said he will set out his proposals before Christmas, and pointed to the Prime Minister’s comments at the Liaison Committee last week.

Devolution – voting

When asked about extending the voting age to 16 and 17-year-olds in the UK, the PMOS said that the Prime Minister’s view had not changed.

East Coast Mainline franchise

When asked about the East Coast Mainline franchise, the PMOS referred to the comments made by the Secretary of State to the Shadow Minister during the debate in the House earlier in the day.
