PM's message for Passover

Prime Minister David Cameron has sent his "very best wishes" to Jewish communities in Britain and across the world as they celebrate the festival of Pesach.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The Prime Minister said:

As the festival of Pesach begins, I want to send my very best wishes to Jewish communities in Britain and across the world.

As friends and families gather around the seder table, they remember a story of hope, of the liberation of a people from tyranny. So it falls to today’s generation, inspired by that great struggle for freedom, to forge a path to peace and stability for Israel and the wider region.

This government will do everything we can to support you in that goal. And we wish you and your family a very happy and peaceful Pesach.
