PM pays tribute to England cricket team

Prime Minister David Cameron has led tributes to the England cricket team as they win the ICC World Twenty 20.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The England team, who were playing at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, won the final match on Sunday.
 
Toasting the team’s success, the PM said:

Congratulations to Paul Collingwood and the England Twenty 20 team on becoming world champions for the first time with a magnificent victory over Australia.

Let’s hope this marks the start of a great summer of sport for England.
