Planned roadworks in Yorkshire and the Humber: summary for Monday 24 August to Thursday 27th August 2015

M1 Junction 30 Chesterfield to Junction 31 Worksop

There are currently narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The hard shoulder is also closed, and the project is due to be completed in the autumn. The southbound exit road at junction 30 will be closed overnight on Thursday 27 August. The northbound entry slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on Thursday 27 August.

The northbound and southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for 4 nights from Monday 24 August. The northbound side of the motorway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 31 overnight on Monday 24 August. The southbound side of the motorway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 31 overnight on Wednesday 26 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 32 Thurcroft to Junction 33 Catcliffe

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight on Thursday 27 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 34 Tinsley to Junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The northbound entry slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 25 August. The northbound exit slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 26 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 39 Denby Dale to Junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015. The southbound exit slip road at junction 39 will be closed overnight for two nights from Wednesday 26 August. The southbound entry slip road at junction 42 will be closed overnight for four nights from Monday 24 August. The northbound exit slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 25 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M18 Junction 3 Doncaster to Junction 4 Doncaster

The northbound side of the motorway between junctions 3 and 4 will be closed overnight for resurfacing works from Thursday 27 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly signed diversions will be in place.

M18 Junction 5 Ings to Junction 6 Thorne

The northbound side of the motorway between junctions 5 and 6 will be reduced to single lane running overnight for two nights for bridge works on Monday 24 August and Wednesday 26 August. The southbound side of the motorway between junctions 5 and 6 will be reduced to a single lane running overnight for two nights for bridge works on Monday 24 August and Wednesday 26 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M18 Junction 3 Doncaster

The southbound exit and entry slip roads will be closed for work from Monday 24 August. The northbound exit slip road will be closed for three nights for work from Monday 24 August. The northbound entry slip road will be closed over night on Monday 24 August and Thursday 27 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 Junction 25 Brighouse to Junction 26 Chain bar

The eastbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane running for technology works on Tuesday 25 August, the closure will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 Junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in April 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight for four nights, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 24 August.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016 and the eastbound entry at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016.

A64 Copmanthorpe to Askham Bryan, York

The westbound side of the trunk road will be closed overnight for three nights for carriageway improvement works from Monday 24 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A64 Headley Bar to Tadcaster, York

The westbound side of the trunk road will be closed overnight for electrical works for four nights from Monday 24 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
