The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 1 April 2016 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

A45 – Stivichall to Tollbar roundabout: improvement scheme

The westbound carriageway will be closed on 4 April between 8pm and 6am. The eastbound carriageway will be closed on 5 April between 8pm and 6am. A diversion route will be clearly signposted. The carriageway will also be closed in both directions on 7, 8, 9, 10 April between 8pm and 6am.

A46 – From A4177 junction to M40 junction 15: traffic signal improvements

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 10 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The carriageway and link roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 8pm and 6am from 9 April until 11 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A49 – Dinmore Hill: road layout and footpath improvements

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 10pm and 7am from 4 April until 10 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – Churchbridge to Washbrook Lane: footway widening

The eastbound and westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 10 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A5 – Washbrook Lane to Rising Sun Roundabout: footway widening

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 8am from 4 April until 10 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A50 – Meir Tunnel to Blyth Bridge: signing and white lining

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5.30am from 4 April until 7 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

A50 – Foley Road entry slip and Heron Cross exit slip roads: signing and white lining

The westbound exit entry and exit Slip will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 6 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M40 – junction 15 entry slip road: improvements to traffic signals

The northbound entry slip road will be closed in overnight from one night from 8pm 5 April until 6am the following morning (6 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 2 entry slip road: routine maintenance

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 10pm 4 April until 5am the following morning (5 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound link to M40 southbound link will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 6 April until 9 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M42 – junction 3 entry slip road: routine maintenance

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 8 April until 5am the following morning (9 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 5 entry slip road: major improvement scheme

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 7 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 – junction 5 exit slip road: major improvement scheme

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am on 8 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 6 entry slip road: major improvement scheme

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 10 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 3 exit slip road: maintenance work

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 4 April until 9 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 2 exit slip road: maintenance work

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 4 April until 9 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 2 entry slip road: maintenance work

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 4 April until 9 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M5 - junction 7 exit slip road: safety fence repairs

The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm 8 April until 5am the following morning (9 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M50 – M5 junction 8 to M50 junction 2: resurfacing works

The carriageway will be closed in both directions overnight between 9pm and 6am from 4 April until 9 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M50 - junction 3 entry and exit slip roads: litter clearance

The eastbound slip roads will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 7 April until 5am the following morning (8 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 – junction 2 to junction 3 including slip roads: filter drain renewals

The carriageway including the entry and exit slip roads will be closed in both directions overnight between 11.30pm and 6am from 4 April until 10 April. Please note the slip roads will not be closed in both directions at the same time. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 – junction 3 exit slip road: carriageway resurfacing

The westbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 6 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M54 – junction 2 exit slip road: structure repairs

The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 8 April until 5am the following morning (9 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 - junction 5 entry slip: bridge repairs

There will be a full 24-hour southbound entry slip closure from 18 January ongoing until 6am on 30 June. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 1 to junction 2: resurfacing works

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 29 March until 2 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

The northbound carriageway and slip roads including M69 link to M6 will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 6 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 7 exit slip road: litter clearance

The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am from 4 April until 9 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 10 to junction 10a including northbound entry slip road: gantry repairs

The northbound carriageway including junction 10 entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 10pm on 4 April until 5am the following morning (5 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M6 – junction 10 entry slip road: investigation works

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for one night from 9pm on 9 April until 6am the following morning (10 April). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M69 – junction 1 entry slip road: resurfacing works

The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 10 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.

M69 – junction 1 exit slip road: resurfacing works

The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am from 4 April until 10 April. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
