Summary of planned new and on-going road improvements over the coming week.
The following summary of planned new and on-going road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 29 April but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
M1 junction 19, Leicestershire: road improvement scheme
The M1 to M6 northbound link road and the M1 southbound from junction 20 will be closed overnight from 9pm until 6am on Wednesday 6 May.
Diversion routes: M6 northbound traffic will continue north up the M1 to junction 20, head south-west down the A426 and join the M6 at junction 1.
M1 southbound traffic will exit at junction 20, head south-west down the A426, then travel south on the A5 to re-join the M1 at junction 18.
A46 Hobby Horse roundabout to Wanlip, Leicestershire: carriageway resurfacing
The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight on Tuesday 3 May and Wednesday 4 May from 8pm to 6am. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
A52 Saxondale roundabout to Barrowby, Leicestershire: carriageway resurfacing
The eastbound and westbound carriageways will be closed overnight until Friday 13 May between 8pm and 6am. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
A46 Widmerpool to Willoughby, Leicestershire: carriageway resurfacing
The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from Wednesday 4 May to Friday 6 May between 8pm and 6am. There will also be a full weekend closure of southbound slip road from Friday 6 May to Monday 9 May. It will re-open on the morning of Monday 9 May at 6am. The southbound carriageway will also be closed overnight between 8pm to 6am Friday 6 May and Saturday 7 May. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
A5 Burbage, Leicestershire: carriageway resurfacing
The southbound entry slip road at junction 1 of the M69 will be closed overnight from Tuesday 3 May to Friday 6 May between 8pm and 6am. The B4109 will also be closed at the junction of the A5 roundabout overnight from Tuesday 3 May to Friday 6 May between 8pm and 6am. Diversions will be clearly signposted.
